Lindsey Claire Newman makes mixed media artwork as a method of processing the world around her. At its core, her art employs intuition and memory, chance and delight. Her art and writing pushes beyond the boundaries of her own lifetime and attempts to distill her singular perception of reality into a lineage of connections between the present moment and all that came before.
Since her formal training at The Rhode Island School of Design in 2007, Lindsey has spent time traveling, farming and cultivating a relationship with the natural world, which is the foundation her deep commitment to art, writing and documentation practices, and most recently, flower farming and floral design.
Lindsey lives in Oak Park, IL with her husband and two sons, where she is consistently fueled by the fervor of humankind and the glory of the natural world.
